Acorn therapy services is a mobile speech pathology service for children in Carlingford, Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill and surrounding suburbs.
We provide assessment and therapy supports to help children develop effective communication skills.

Acorn Therapy Services strives to deliver a holistic evidence-based service that allows children to grow and realise their full potential. We hope to achieve this through developing individualised, family centred therapeutic supports that not only helps children communicate but also creates an environment that supports communication for the child.
About Us
Jennie Wong | Director & Speech Pathologist CPSP MSLP
Jennie is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and member of Speech Pathology Australia.
Jennie is passionate about supporting individuals communicate effectively within their natural environments and has a special interest in early intervention supports to provide parents and caregivers with the skills and confidence to support their child's speech and language development.
Jennie has experience working with infants, children and young adults, delivering both individual and group therapy supports within the community and via teletherapy. Her experience includes working with individuals with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), global developmental delay as well as speech and language delays. Jennie works closely with individuals and their families to deliver services that cater for the individual’s interests and functional needs. Jennie also has experience delivering parent and educator training as well as communication partner education.
Jennie has completed a number of professional development courses including Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) and Key Word Sign as well as being a certified provider of the following:
- Certified Provider of Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS) for Adults and Adolescents
- Certified Provider of Hanen More Than Words
- Certified Facilitator of Lego-based Therapy

Early Intervention Services
- Developing young children's communication and play skills.
- Supporting parents and carers to help young children develop communication and play skills.
Speech and Language
- Supporting children to understand and use language effectively to communicate when speaking and writing.
- Developing children's speech sounds so they can be better understood.
Parent Training Workshops
- We offer workshops for "More Than Words - The Hanen Program for Parents/Carers of children on the autism spectrum or with social communication difficulties".
- Workshops are run via telehealth.
